Bob “Pig” LINCOLN, Bill COLEBANK, Theodore “Boots” KLINK
Front Row:
Jimmy BAKER, Jesse “Snitz” COLEBANK
This picture must have been taken shortly after the beginning of WWII because “Pig” Lincoln is not yet in uniform. He did serve and brought an English girl home as his wife.

I believe this photo was taken about 1937 or 1938. Bill Colebank graduated from High School in 1936 and went into the army soon after. This was probably taken when he was home on leave. The photo was taken right in front of Marion School, although you cannot see it. In the 1938 Che-Mon yearbook three of the graduates are referred to as the Blosser Hill Gang. They were Quinter Baker, Jess Colebank and Noel Ball. I think that Jerry Burchinal was part of the group too even thought he lived up at Fallen Timbers. Both Quinter Baker and Jess Colebank entered the Army shortly after graduating from High School. William Colebank stayed in and retired as a Warrant Officer. Quinter and Jess came out at the end of the war. All of these men played a lot of local baseball and had a Blosser Hill team. About this time Jess Colebank got an old Model T that was pretty much stripped down. They played baseball on the Marion School field and when you got a hit you had to run the bases in the car.
