Inspiration

After Linberg flew the Atlantic, the BAKER boys built an airplane. Here it is in the BAKER tire swing with Raymond GOFF riding it.*

I might add a comment of what happened to the Baker airplane. They kept it in their yard which was up on a hill above Route 119. It was easily picked up by the wind so they usually kept it tied down. One day they forgot and a wind storm came up and the plane took off and sailed down over the hill to the state road where is smashed to pieces. So ended the Baker airplane. That airplane along with the Baker tire swing were landmarks along the road.
